GoldFinch Case Study: Cucina Antica
The Cucina Antica® line features award-winning pasta sauces and ketchup made with imported Italian San Marzano tomatoes with no preservatives and no sugar, water, or tomato paste added! Their products are non-GMO project verified, gluten-free, vegetarian, and Whole30® Approved.
Their sauces are created for the at-home chef, so they are for more than just pasta. Each product is crafted using an artisanal production method that allows consumers to cook the sauces without losing any flavor.
“We have control over our budgeting and bottom line that we never had before“– Cucina Antica
The artisanal method leaves ample room for the home chef to truly make homemade meals, and the consumer does not need to worry about our sauces becoming acidic from over-cooking. Most other sauces are made to simply be warmed and served, but their sauces allow the home chef to discover new pasta-biIities!
Cucina Antica® is committed to giving back to those in need, and partnered with several organizations including Mary’s Meals, Food for the Poor and St. Joseph’s Orphanage.
We recently spoke with Neil Fusco, Chef and Owner of Cucina Antica, about his journey with GoldFinch and Salesforce.
A customized solution is not plug and play
We’ve built up a very successful business over the past 20 years, manufacturing and distributing pasta sauces. You can find our product in almost every major retailer. We pride ourselves in our efficiency.
We were using QuickBooks which was doing an OK job, except it didn’t work for inventory. As we evolved and grew we found we needed a solution that would both encompass inventory and provide us with real-time data if we were going to meet our goals for further growth and efficiency.
“We value our craft and only use the most premium, healthy ingredients to bring homemade, authentic Italian flavor to your home.”– Cucina Antica
About 2 years ago we were introduced to GoldFinch by an accounting firm as the solution we could rely on. Their strength was in delivering a customized platform.
Honestly, the adoption and implementation of GoldFinch was not easy for us. We have set workflows and had an unrealistic view that this would be plug and play. Just drop it in and it would automate and streamline everything we were already doing. In the short-term, it didn’t happen but what happened next was terrific.
They persevered and exceeded our expectations
GoldFinch came in and first had to learn our system, which took some time. We did not know there would be this time of trial and error, and it was frustrating. We were unrealistic here as well.
It was difficult. We had no downtime to show them how we did things, or to learn the way they had laid it out. Nevertheless, they persevered and at the end, they exceeded our expectations.
GoldFinch is a tremendous asset
We use GoldFinch more than we ever anticipated. After much work, labor and effort, this has finally come to fruition.
“GoldFinch, with the power of Salesforce behind it, is one-stop shopping connecting all the dots, from P.O. to invoicing, in one place. It is a tremendous asset.”– Cucina Antica
We originally brought GoldFinch in to begin on-time inventory, and now it runs our supply chain, and invoicing, too, and integrates with our other systems. We are discovering new uses daily. One of the biggest benefits is having GoldFinch manage our promotions. This is awesome – of tremendous value. It gives us a level of control over our budgeting and bottom line that we never had before, or knew was possible.
